Realized blogging is not for me. Posting something from time to time, to give my future self a chance to see what I was up to when I was a student? Sure.
Had loads of sketches in my sketchbooks, but I narrowed the scanning down to only the good ones.. no point showing awful figure studies =P All of them, apart from the eagle and the naked guy, are sketches that I submitted to the drawing unit in first semester. Left my A3 sketchbook in UK though, has a few of my alltime sketches.Eagle (work in progress, have to improve shading and add the rest of the feathers) Ugh. Think that was all of them =P
Thought I'd cycle down to the lake and take a few pictures of the sunrise. Was way more beautiful than expected :)
40 minutesAnother Book of Eli speedpaint. Have taken a bunch of screenshots from the movie, all with amazing composition, colours, lighting etc which I will paint more from =)
20 minutes Wow. OK movie, but what I found amazing with this film was the camera work and overall style of it. Definitely going to do more speedpaints with this film as reference. The painting isnt finished, but I allowed myself only 20 minutes for it, and its gonna stay that way. Will repaint this exact scene again with longer time limit.
3 hours of sleep is all I get tonight. Max. I guess 2 hours. If even that.
Went photographing after packing all my stuff, mainly for a proper goodbye to Portsmouth before I go back home for 4 months. Went fairly decent considering i didnt use a proper tripod, though I really hate the strong orange the streetlights cast, ruins the whitebalance so much. Such an ironic place to shoot a sunset(missed it by 30 minutes) though, probably the dirtiest water I've ever seen.
So I decided to start blogging. No, not about my day or what I had for breakfast. Only about my art; sketches, photographs, paintings, design, 3d models, animation - you name it. Might slip in a few tunes too, you never know!
